Cloudy, a few sprinkles

Posted: Updated:

(WRCB) - The sun will come out...the day after...tomorrow.  Bet your bottom dollar.

Until then, lots of clouds and maybe even a few more sprinkles.

While the front has passed by, it is becoming stationary to our east.  As it washes out, we will continue to have good cloud cover with a light sprinkle or two possible through Saturday morning.

Saturday afternoon, we can expect the clouds to begin parting, and most of our weekend looks good with no real chance of rain and highs in the low 60s.

Sunday will be especially nice with mostly sunny skies through the day.

We will see another front bringing scattered showers Monday evening, and some cooler weather by the middle of next week.

Some showers and storms may redevelop today as a cold front passes through the Tennessee Valley. But don't worry too much, they aren't expected to be widespread or become severe.

Several things are coming together to increase our chances for some severe weather later today.  A warm, humid air mass will interact with unseasonably cool air that will be pushing through today and tomorrow.

We will continue a warm, muggy pattern with highs reaching about 90 degrees.  The heat and humidity will combine with a trough of low pressure to produce one or two thunderstorms.
