Drizzles ending, sunny Valentine's Day

Posted: Updated:

(WRCB) - While you may only see a drizzle or two this morning, roadways are wet, so go slow heading to school and work!

Later this afternoon, the low pressure moving by to our south, bringing the light rain, will pass on allowing skies to clear out and cooler air to move in tonight.

Lows starting your Thursday will fall into the low 30s.  We will warm nicely through Valentine's Day, however, with sunshine and highs in the  mid 50s.

Friday will be mild and nice, but another cold front will move through Friday evening.

While it won't have much moisture to tap into, we still may see a flake or two of snow or a drop of rain Friday night into early Saturday morning.  We won't see any accumulations, and the main feature of this front will be cold air.

Lows will be in the 20s, and highs in the 40s this weekend.

Several things are coming together to increase our chances for some severe weather later today.  A warm, humid air mass will interact with unseasonably cool air that will be pushing through today and tomorrow.

We will continue a warm, muggy pattern with highs reaching about 90 degrees.  The heat and humidity will combine with a trough of low pressure to produce one or two thunderstorms.
