CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – Quick work by Chattanooga firefighters saves an apartment complex Saturday night.

It happened at the corner of S. Orchard Knob Avenue and Bailey Avenue, shortly after 10:00 p.m.

Spokesman Bruce Garner says flames were shooting out of a second story apartment window, when firefighters arrived.

A dozen fire companies responded and put out the flames, saving the surrounding units.

Garner says the apartment appeared to have tenants, but no one was home during the incident.

No one was injured.

The cause is under investigation.
