Bradley County deputy resigns amid inquiry

BRADLEY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- Channel 3 has confirmed a Bradley County deputy has resigned amid an internal investigation.

Sheriff Jim Ruth tells Channel 3 then-Deputy Casey Kerr reported hitting a deer last month in a patrol vehicle.

An inquiry into the incident was later launched.

Sheriff Ruth confirmed Kerr is no longer with the sheriff's department, but the inquiry is still ongoing.
