CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Baylor School star Colton Jumper will sign scholarship papers to play football at Naval Academy on National Signing Day this Wednesday.
Jumper, a two-time all-state linebacker, verbally committed to the Midshipmen Sunday following an official visit over the weekend.
"Just committed to navy. Want to thank everyone whos supported me because I know I wouldn't have been able to do it without y'all," Jumper posted on his Twitter page.
Jumper is rated as a two-star prospect by both Rivals.com and 247Sports. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder recorded 131 tackles as a senior last fall, including 19 tackles for a loss and eight sacks. He also added two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and one blocked field goal.
Jumper chose Navy over offers from Air Force, Furman and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He briefly committed to the Mocs in December, but backed off that pledge and re-opened his recruitment less than 48 hours later.
