ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Georgia offensive lineman John Theus will miss at least part of spring practice after having surgery Wednesday to repair a broken bone in his right foot.
Theus had the surgery to repair the fifth metatarsal at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens. Georgia director of sports medicine Ron Courson says a full recovery is expected.
Theus, from Jacksonville, Fla., started every game at right tackle as a freshman in the 2012 season.
Offensive guard Chris Burnette will miss all the spring drills after surgery last week to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder. He is expected to be ready for the 2013 season.
Spring practice is scheduled to begin on March 2. The G-Day spring game is set for April 6 at Sanford Stadium.
