CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - State Representative Joanne Favors spoke before a packed room Thursday night, after hearing several complaints about state child support laws.
Favors, a divorced single parent herself, says she's been receiving an overwhelming number of calls about the system being harsh and unjust.
The forum at the Kingdom Center, allowed parents to voice their concerns and share their experiences with Tennessee child support laws.
Favors says this is only the beginning and there's still a lot of work to be done.
An advisory committee will compile a report on the hearing, which will be given to the governor and other state leaders.
