UPDATE: Missing 12 year-old, Tyrus Birt, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by Chattanooga Police when he was located at a relative's home.

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Investigators with the Chattanooga Police Department's Missing Persons Unit are seeking help in locating 12 year-old Tyrus Birt.
Tyrus is a black male, 5'2" tall, 140 lbs, and is missing from 1200 E 34th Street, Chattanooga.
He was last seen Tuesday, but was not reported missing until Wednesday at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Tyrus has a history of running away and may possibly be in a small silver vehicle.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tyrus Birt is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at (423) 698-2525.
