CHATTANOOGA, TN. (Times Free Press) -- Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Agency staff today recommended deferring a decision on a zoning change sought for a proposed $100 million Hixson apartment and commercial project.

The staff report calls for the deferral until it can receive feedback from the Tennessee Department of Transportation on a revised traffic study of the state Highway 153 site.

Once staff receives the study and talks with applicant Scenic Land Co., they'll be ready to issue a formal recommendation, the report said.
