CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Volkswagen of America reported a 35% increase in sales above the same period in 2011, and a 29.3 % increase in sales from over a year ago. The month of November proved to be the company's best since 1973.
"November was again a strong month for Volkswagen with a sales increase of over 29 percent," said Jonathan Browning, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. "Significantly, the brand is now more than 100,000 units ahead of where we were this time last year."
The Volkswagen Passat, which is made here in Chattanooga, was recently named a 2013 Best Buy by Consumer Guide Automotive. The Passat proved popular, with 10,544 units sold in November.
