Arrest made in early morning Amazon electronics theft

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Early Thursday morning, Chattanooga Police officers responded to the Amazon fulfillment center on Discovery Drive in Enterprise South on a theft report.

When officers arrived shortly after 4:00 a.m., they found several trailers had been broken into and a number of electronic devices had been stolen. The break-ins were caught on video by Amazon's security cameras.

Late, at around 7:45 a.m.. officers responded to 2343 Shallowford Rd. on possible suspect information from the Amazon theft, where they found Roland Jackson, who matched surveillance video.

After a brief foot pursuit, he was taken into custody. All of items stolen from Amazon were recovered.

The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at (423) 698-2525 or Crime Stoppers at (423) 698-3333.
