CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- The Chattanooga Police Department conducted Operation Gangsgiving Monday and Tuesday: a multiple-unit operation to round up possible gang members and curtail drugs sales in the area. The operation utilized units of Gang Member Warrant Operation, Traffic Enforcement, and a Drug Buy/Bust Operation.
The Gang Member Warrant and Drug Buy/Bust Operations took place in the Chattanooga area with numerous arrests and seizures. The Traffic Enforcement Operation targeted both city streets and interstates. Officers were assigned to I-24, I-75, US 27, and Highway 153 for traffic enforcement.
The Traffic Officers recovered a stolen Polaris 850 ATV, reported stolen in Georgia, and wrote 572 moving citations. Other agencies that assisted in Operation Gangsgiving included:
