CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Two Ivy Street residents are in the hospital today, recovering from gunshot wounds they received late Saturday night.
At 1:51 a.m. Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting call at 2217 Ivy Street where they found Michael Jones, 55, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital for the nonlife-threatening injury.
Officers were also notified of a second victim, Lee Clements, 18, who arrived at a local hospital via a personally owned vehicle. Clements was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, but is listed in stable condition.
It was reported to investigators that Clements was outside the residence of 2217 Ivy Street when an unknown suspect shot at him several times. Jones was inside the residence and was struck by one the bullets.
The suspects fled the area prior to police arrival.
