CHATTANOOGA (UTC/WRCB) -- University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Taylor Hall is the first Southern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the 2012-14 season after leading the Lady Mocs to a season-opening upset of No. 20 Tennessee.

Hall tied her career high with 24 points and added nine rebounds in the 80-71 win over the Lady Vols. The junior forward also posted career-highs in assists (five) and steals (four) and tied her career high with three blocks.

The junior forward hit nine of 12 shots from the field, including three of five behind the three point arc, and did not commit a turnover.

Hall's outing also garnered national Mid-Major Player of the Week honors from College Sports Madness.

The Lady Mocs will get their first chance to follow-up last week's season-opening win when they travel to Belmont Wednesday night. UTC returns home to host East Tennessee State at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
