UPDATE: East Ridge Police find missing / endangered man

EAST RIDGE, TN (WRCB) -- Police have found Calvin Steele.  From ERPD: "The East Ridge Police Department has discovered the location and verified the safety of Calvin Steele, the individual earlier announced as a missing/endangered person."

EAST RIDGE, TN (WRCB) -- East Ridge Police are asking for help from the public in location a missing man who may be suicidal.

Earlier today, police responded to an address on Mana Lane in regards to reported suicide threats. Officials say that Calvin Sydney Steele, 52, had left voicemail messages with friends indicating he was having suicidal thoughts.

Police were unable to make contact with Steele at his residence. His vehicle was also missing.

Steele is believed to have left his residence in his red Ford Ranger pick-up truck.

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts or condition of Steele is encouraged to call the East Ridge Police Department at (423) 622-1725 or on the ERPD Confidential Tip Line at (423)867-0016.
