Local teams start fast at TSSAA State Volleyball Tournament

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WRCB) -- Three Chattanooga area teams went unbeaten on the first day of the TSSAA State Volleyball Championships.

East Hamilton, Boyd-Buchanan and Baylor combined to go 5-0 Wednesday to advanced to the winner's bracket final of their respective classifications. The Lady Hurricanes (Class AA) and Lady Bucs (Class A) each won two matches, while the Lady Raiders (Division II-AA) won its only contest.

Ooltewah and Red Bank also remain alive following the first day of action, but must battle through the loser's bracket after splitting their first two matches.
