College day at Hixson High School

HIXSON, HAMILTON CO., TN (WRCB) - Hixson High School seniors are now prepared for life after graduation.

Each year, the school hosts College Day, inviting experts from a number of fields to speak to seniors for the challenges of college life.

From financial aid, to social media, seniors spend the day learning how to get into college, and how to succeed once they get there.

School counselor Brenda McEntyre says Hixson High is college focused, and events like this are designed to make sure seniors understand there are no free rides once they make it to the next level.
