Emergency preparedness drill takes place at UTC

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - If you happened to see emergency crews at UTC Tuesday, there was no cause for concern.

The university took part in an all-campus emergency preparedness exercise.

Local firefighters and police agencies, along with faculty and staff, staged a situation in which they practiced what to do in case a real emergency were to occur.

The exercise was executed as planned, and gave students insight on emergency planning.

UTC advises all students, faculty, staff and even parents to sign up for the text alert system.
