Former PTA president accused of theft from organization

RED BANK, HAMILTON, CO., TN (WRCB ) - A former PTA president was in court Tuesday.

Doris "Jeejay" Mizzell is accused of using a school debit card for personal use, and stealing more than $1,000 from the Red Bank Elementary PTA.

Mizzell resigned from her position with the PTA in September, and turned herself into police.

Her case will be heard November 8th.

She faced similar charges in six cases since 2008.

She's charged with theft of property and fraudulent use of a credit card.
