Man cited for removing Obama campaign signs


CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- A Chattanooga Police patrol officer caught  79-year old James Proffitt removing an Obama/Biden sign from the 5100 block of 58 Hwy.  He was issued a misdemeanor citation for theft under $500.

The Hamilton County Democratic Party will press charges, and will also press charges for anyone caught illegally removing campaign signs from properly placed sites prior to the election.

This comes hours before the third and final Presidnetial debate tonight between President Barack Obama and challenger Mitt Romney.
