CHEROKEE CO., NC (WRCB) - The North Carolina State Medical Examiner's Office is calling two deaths in Cherokee County a murder suicide.
Family members found the bodies of 45-year-old Alyda Hill and her 10 year old son Joshua Ritz on September 20th.
It appeared they'd been shot to death.
A Cherokee County Newspaper reports the death certificates show Hill took her own life.
The state medical examiner ruled her son's death a homicide.
