CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Dining out this weekend? The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a great week with no failing grades to report. Inspector Jack Falcon tells me among the 40 restaurants visited, they did have a low score of 73 and we head on over to Red Bank on Dayton Boulevard and visit Typhoon of Tokyo.
Inspectors saw the cook not washing his hands, shrimp and chicken were being stored out of temperature, produce was being stored on the floor and coolers that were dirty and rusty. They scored a 73.
But the high score is a tie! Hats off to Guthrie's on Signal Mountain and the Subway on Signal Mountain Road. Both scored a 96. Great work!
Please remember, if you have a complaint about a restaurant call the Hamilton County Health Department hotline at (423) 209-8110 or email your complaint to firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send it on to the inspectors.
