Chattanooga Police issue warning to prevent auto theft

Posted:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- As temperatures continue to drop, Chattanooga Police are urging you to protect your ride!

Police are warning residents not to leave their vehicles unattended, while warming them up in the cooler weather.

Spokesman Nathan Hartwig says this time of year creates the potential for a rise in auto thefts.

Hartwig says a car left running alone could provoke a thief.

If you become a victim of auto theft, call Chattanooga Police at (423) 698-2525.
