Amazon hiring 50,000 seasonal positions

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Amazon announced Tuesday that the mail-order company is hiring more than 50,000 seasonal workers at their fulfillment centers in the U.S., two of which are in Chattanooga and Bradley County.

Amazon employs more than 20,000 people over 40 U.S. fulfillment centers, and pays full-time, permanent employees 30 percent more than what traditional retail store employees.

Full-time employees can receive stock grants that, which over the past five years, have added an average of 9 percent to base pay annually.
