HIXSON, TN. (WRCB) -- A historic Hixson landmark, formerly known as Rodger's Mill, is no longer standing.

The mill, built in 1905, is located on Lower Mill Road, next to the Chickamauga Creek.

Monday afternoon the building collapsed into the creek.

No injuries were reported, but the building is a total loss.

The property was used up until the 1940s, when TVA damned the river, making the wheel house inoperable due to water levels.

The North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy, owner of the property, had planned to preserve the historical site.
