DAYTON, TN (WRCB) - The Heartland Anglers held the final day of their two-day 2012 Divisional Classic Championship on Chickamauga Lake, October 13, 2012, out of Dayton Boat Dock in Richland Creek.
Two hundred and seventy-five teams coming from 44 divisions across six states showed up to compete in the two-day event.
The team of Rodney Campbell and Denton Asher caught a two-day total weight of 30.45 pounds to take first place in the event. For the win they received a 2012 Margay Bass Cat boat valued at $27,000.
Campbell said, "All of the fish we weighed in this weekend were caught using frogs around shallow grass."
The team of Billy Norris and Josh Norris won big fish on day one with a giant largemouth weighing 7.07 pounds, which earned them an extra $400.
Big Fish on day two went to the team of Chris Gillespie and Dusty Williams with a monster largemouth that weighed 7.47 pounds, which was good for $400
