Chatsworth man arrested on North Carolina murder charge
HENDERSON COUNTY, NC (WRCB) -- A joint investigation by the Henderson County Sheriff's Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has led a first-degree murder charge against Daniel Clay Moore, 29, of Chatsworth, Ga.
Moore is charged in the death of Walter Cleveland Davis, 52.
After a 911 call led officers to the residence of Davis on Thursday at approximately 2:50 PM, they have worked around the clock to make an arrest in the death of Davis.
Moore, a roommate of Davis was originally charged with larceny and possession of stolen property and was in the Henderson County detention facility under a $20,000 bond.
As the investigation continued officers were able to file charges for first degree murder against Moore.
Moore is currently in the Henderson County jail under no bond and is scheduled for a first appearance hearing Monday morning.
