As Dublin Web Summit’s third edition is coming soon, a brand new link sending platform from Norway is getting ready for its premiere at the event. The startup called Ping.it is one of the 55 participants invited both to the exclusive START gathering and to the main Electric Ireland Spark of Genius startup competition.

(PRWEB) October 10, 2012

Starting from Tuesday, October 16, Ping.it will be present at this year’s Dublin Web Summit. The event closes on Thursday, October 18.

Since its closed beta launch in July, 2012, Ping.it has come a long way. Having undergone major conceptual and functional changes, it is now ready to open for its 16.000 users registered during alpha and present itself to the public at Dublin Web Summit.

Ping.it aims at making link sending quicker and easier, as well as at providing its users with personal content recommendations. The links are pinged by means of a smart tool – Ping.it bookmarklet which a user has to simply drag to his browser bar in order to start pinging. Clicking on the bookmarklet allows the user to ping the page to the chosen contacts, as well as to manage them. Pingers can create personal, private or public groups to make their pings reach exactly where they want them to go.

On Tuesday, October 16, Ping.it will take part in START – an invite-only Dublin Web Summit opening event, organized by F.ounders, a yearly meetup of 150 most influential and successful tech company founders in the world. The next two days will include the prestigious Electric Ireland Spark of Genius startup competition. As one of the 100 finalists, Ping.it is invited to pitch on stage on Wednesday, October 17, and will hopefully get to the final competition on Thursday, October 18. Simultaneously, general presentation to the public will take place at Ping.it’s own Dublin Web Summit stage in the main area.

Ping.it is an internationally based company with team members from Norway, Poland and UK.
