Man holds girlfriend against her will for days

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Deputies received a call for help Tuesday evening by Leslie Sandridge who reported she had been held against her will by her boyfriend, Dominick Haven.

Sandridge stated to deputies she had been held for several days at 1259 Lester Lane by her boyfriend Dominick Haven and during this time he had repeatedly beat her severely. She further stated he held a gun to her head with threats to kill her or the police if they were called. Sandridge managed to escape the residence and went to a neighbor's house to get help.

Sheriff's deputies set up a perimeter around the area due to the information received he was armed and had made threats of violence towards law enforcement. The SWAT team was requested to also respond to the area due to the potential violence of the situation.

Deputies who were securing the rear area of the residence observed the suspect going into the woods early Wednesday morning and took him into custody at that time. Dominick Haven is charged with Attempted Murder and False Imprisonment and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
