DADE CO, GA (WRCB) - Clean up continues in Dade County following a train derailment Sunday night.
Eighteen cars derailed near Morganville Ridge Road on Hwy 11 in Wildwood. No injuries are reported.
Norfolk-Southern Railroad spokesperson Susan Terpay says no hazardous materials were on board. Sixteen cars were empty, the other 2 were carrying paper products. The cars that derailed were in the middle of the train.
Highway 11 is blocked so you'll need to find an alternate route.
Heavy machinery is being brought in to help get the cars upright and carted off.
The cause of the accident has not been determined. Norfolk railroad is working to re-rail the cars and to repair the track.
