CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Dining out this weekend? The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a great week with no failing grades to report among the 24 restaurants visited.
But we always include the low score of the week. Remember a failing grade is anything lower than a 70. The surprise score here for the McDonalds on Browns Ferry Road. Ronald would not be happy with a score of 75.
Inspectors saw the cook not washing his hands, employees were not cleaning the utensils properly, dirty floors, no towels at the hand sink and the hand sink itself just needs a good cleaning.
The high score goes to the newly opened Bojangles restaurant on East Brainerd Road with a 99. Keep up the great work!
According to Senior Inspector Jack Falcon, his crew is busy these days with plan reviews.
With a lot of new building construction in Hamilton County, inspectors are making sure everything is up to code with new pools, hotels restaurants, etc.
Please remember, if you have a complaint about a restaurant call the Hamilton County Health Department hotline at (423) 209-8110 or email your complaint.
