CHATSWORTH, GA. (WRCB) -- Three bears, roaming the Chatsworth area, have been caught.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources responded Wednesday evening to a bear sighting in a 6th Avenue resident's backyard.
A DNR spokesperson tells Channel 3, this isn't the first time they've handled the adult female and two cubs.
As part of the department's policy, the bears were euthanized.
The spokesperson says it's because the wild animals are conditioned to seek unnatural food sources, creating a safety concern for the public.
