Hamilton County investigators searching for arsonist

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- On Tuesday, Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Deputies were called to 7426 Igou Ferry Road on a delayed fire report. 

When deputies arrived it was determined that an unknown suspect or suspects had thrown a homemade fire bomb (Molotov Cocktail) through the window of the walk in door to the garage. 

This incident occurred sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 9:30 a.m.  The residence was occupied at the time of the incident but no injuries were reported.
A second attempted arson was discovered on Wednesday, where the suspect or suspects utilized a similar tactic to the first attempt reported the previous night. 

Both attempted arsons were unsuccessful, causing minor damage.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is requesting for anyone with knowledge or information on this reported attempted arson to contact the Criminal Investigation Division at (423) 209-8940.
