Boy, 8, wounded by bullet as he slept

NASHVILLE, TN. (AP) - Police in Nashville are looking for a shooter after an 8-year-old boy was struck by a bullet as he slept.

WSMV-TV (http://bit.ly/SxFkwc ) reported the boy is under hospital care after the bullet entered his back and exited his stomach.

Police said someone threw something at a house and when the victim's 22-year-old brother went to the door to investigate, the shot was fired.

There were no immediate arrests and the name of the victim wasn't released.
