MEIGS COUNTY, TN. (WRCB) -- The Meigs County Sheriff's Office says a tip from Sweetwater Police led to the recovery of nearly $180,000 worth of stolen items.
Chief Deputy Brian Malone tells Channel 3, Detective Wayne Irwin and deputies found more than a dozen vehicles, along with a trailer, three mowers, lawn
equipment, a tree chipper, a caterpillar bobcat, numerous motors and
transmissions, and various car parts and tools.
Most of the owners have been found.
Chief Malone says suspects are being interviewed, but no arrests have been made because the items were stolen from multiple jurisdictions.
He says charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
