Arrest made, victim identified in Old Mission Road shooting

UPDATE: A 15 year-old male has been taken into custody after an argument with another man on Old Mission Road escalated into a shooting.

The victim of Friday's shooting at 5500 Old Mission Road has been identified as Antonio Jackson. 

The teen suspect has been charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.


CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Chattanooga Police are investigating a shooting on Old Mission Road Friday. It happened in the 5500 Block, just before 3:30 p.m.

Police Spokesman Nathan Hartwig says a 20-yearold man was shot at the corner of Pisgah Avenue and Spring Garden Lane, following an argument on Old Mission Road.

The suspect fled the scene, but police found two people running from the area and detained them.

The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Hartwig says the investigation is ongoing.
