Sunny and a little warmer today

Posted:

(WRCB) - We will continue to enjoy great fall weather a few days ahead of the actual first day of fall on Saturday.

The high pressure that brought us the cool north winds will shift east, and give us more of an easterly component to the wind.  That will bring in warmer air from the Atlantic and cause us to be about 5 or 6 degrees warmer this afternoon than yesterday.

We can expect the same pattern in place Friday.

Saturday, another front will move through.  It will bring some clouds on Saturday, but little to no chance of rain.  We will see it bring another shot of cool air to the Tennessee Valley on Sunday.  Look for lows Sunday in the 40s, and highs in the mid 70s.

Some showers and storms may redevelop today as a cold front passes through the Tennessee Valley. But don't worry too much, they aren't expected to be widespread or become severe.

Several things are coming together to increase our chances for some severe weather later today.  A warm, humid air mass will interact with unseasonably cool air that will be pushing through today and tomorrow.
