Awesome weather through the rest of the week

Posted:

(WRCB) - The front that brought the heavy rain yesterday has moved on by, and behind it we now see the cool, dry air settling in.

Temps this morning are in the upper 40s and low 50s. This afternoon highs will only reach the mid 70s.  The normal high is 82.  With the low humidity, the air will feel amazing today.

We will warm back into the low 80s tomorrow through Saturday, but another front will push through on Saturday.  It will not bring much in the way of rain (only a 20% chance), but it will give us a reinforcing shot of cool air that will know highs back into the 70s and lows into the 40s by Sunday.

Some showers and storms may redevelop today as a cold front passes through the Tennessee Valley. But don't worry too much, they aren't expected to be widespread or become severe.

Several things are coming together to increase our chances for some severe weather later today.  A warm, humid air mass will interact with unseasonably cool air that will be pushing through today and tomorrow.
