Some street flooding this morning

(WRCB) - You all know the spots in the road that flood every time there is a heavy rain.  That is going to be the most widespread threat we see today.

With that said, overnight there were some reports to the National Weather Service of "water encroaching on some homes in the Chattanooga and Red Bank Areas.  Partial road closures reported in East Ridge".

We can expect scattered showers (not as heavy as overnight) to continue on and off through the morning, then this afternoon the front will push through and sweep out the rain.  Cool and dry weather will move in late today as our high reaches only 74.  Tonight, look for lows to drop into the upper 40s in the outlying areas and low 50s in town.

Wednesday, the air will be dry and cool.  The sun will be shining, and all will be right with the world (okay, maybe I exaggerate).  It will feel that way, however as low humidity and highs in the mid 70s rule the day.

Expect the weather to stay just about as nice through the rest of the week with even cooler air (lows in the upper 30s?) by the end of the weekend.
