CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- The American Red Cross Greater Chattanooga Area has hired a new Emergency Services Specialist, Jamie Lewis.
Lewis, a Southeast Tennessee native, has been in public safety since 1992 and has been an active member of the West Polk County Fire and Rescue for 20 years. Lewis spent several years working for the Polk Co Sheriff's Office, Benton Police Department and the 10th Judicial Drug Task Force.
After September 11th, he was a founding member of Tennessee Homeland Security and deputy Director of Emergency Management for Polk County, TN.
Lewis' has worked with other agencies, such as TN-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team, the Bradley County 911 and Life Force Air Medical in Chattanooga
The Red Cross team in East Tennessee spans Bradley, Polk, McMinn, Meigs and Monroe Counties.
