Band of the Week (Week 4) - Bledsoe County High School

Posted: Updated:

You may catch this week's Band of the Week at a football game, you might even hear them if you head up to Nashville. The Bledsoe County High School "Warrior Band of Blue" has set sail on another great season of music and travel! They have played in Virginia, Georgia, and Florida and, the biggie...they have been invited back to the Music City a third time to play as the Band in the Stands at the NHL Nashville Predators hockey game.

Their half-time show is a crowd pleaser call, "Women of Pop Music," and features familiar sing-along favorites from an array of different eras like: "Proud Mary" by Ike and Tina, Paula Abdul's "Cold Hearted," Paula Abdul, "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" BY Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan's "Tell Me Something Good," and "Get the Party Started" by Pink. And to help along, the Band of Blue has added electric bass played by senior Houston Housley, and another senior, Alex Johnson, on electric guitar.

Many thanks to Frank Hudson, Director of Bands at Bledsoe County High School and his Warrior Band of Blue. Enjoy their performance of Cameo's "Word Up!"
