Construction worker killed in Englewood

MCMINN COUNTY, TN. (WRCB) – A Tellico Plains construction worker is dead, after falling 40 feet from a boom lift.

It happened on County Road 575 in Englewood Thursday evening.

The police report states Douglas Gourley fell when the boom lift turned over while he was working on a home.

Douglas was pronounced dead at Athens Regional Medical Center.

The report says he died as a result of injuries received from the fall.
