Early morning fire damages home

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Chattanooga firefighters battle early morning fire on Line Street.

A neighbor noticed the fire just before 1:00 and called 911.

When firefighters arrived they found flames coming out of a bedroom window. They made their way inside and quickly extinguished the fire.

The residents were not home at the time, but arrived a short while later. The Red Cross is assisting the them.

No injuries were reported.

The damage is estimated at $21,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
