You have, no doubt, heard of the tough practices football teams endure in the summer, leading up to the first game. The Marching Indian Band of Sequatchie County High School had a challenging summer, as well! They were working hard for three weeks at camp around the end of June and beginning of July, getting this year's show under their feet.
Dave Keiser, in his fifth year with the group, said he sure was proud of them. The group of 30 winds and 11 flags, got the "Road Trip" show learned in just four days. The rest of the time was spent polishing and playing their horns.
The Road Trip in question includes music from across the generations: Funkytown, Land of a Thousand Dances, and Detroit Rock City just to name a few. Get out and see them if you get a chance! The group will travel to all away games, and to competitions in October and the spring.
Our thanks to Mr. Keiser and the Sequatchie County Marching Indian Band!
