SAU students volunteer as part of college experience

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - You may have seen lots of work being done at parks all across Chattanooga Wednesday.

Hundreds of students from Southern Adventist University were out volunteering.

It's all part of the freshman class's Volunteer Day.

We caught up with the students at Montague Park on East 23rd Street, where they were painting and mulching.

Teachers say volunteering is a huge learning tool and the work they're doing is much-needed.

Montague Park will soon be the home of the Chattanooga Rugby Club and it will also hold the John Henry Sculpture Garden.
