CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Dozens of cases, resting on a hearing between a Hamilton County judge and the Public Defenders office, can move forward.

Eyewitness News has confirmed District Public Defender Ardena Garth has asked to remove all of her requests for criminal court Judge Barry Steelman to recuse himself from cases.

Garth had claimed the court was "prejudice against the public defender and her assistant public defender."

Right now, there's no word on why Garth has asked the request be dropped.
