UPDATE: Cleveland EMS responds to report of unresponsive police officer

CLEVELAND, TN (WRCB) -- Breaking news Friday night out of Bradley County after reports of a downed police officer.

It happened around 6:50 p.m. on Georgetown Road when EMS responded to a call of an unresponsive officer.

According to a Cleveland Police Spokeswoman Evie West, an officer passed out for unknown reasons.

West says he has been taken to SkyRidge Medical Center, where doctors are trying to determined what happened.

The officer's name is not being released at this time.

West says his exact condition is unknown.
