Crime Stoppers program getting money from state

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Two local Crime Stoppers programs are getting a boost from the state.

The TBI split $100,000 between 16 Crime Stoppers agency.

The Greater Chattanooga Area Crime Stoppers, Inc and Marion County Sheriff's Office each received more than $6200.

Five thousand can be used for rewards.

The rest will go into supplies, advertising, equipment and administrative costs.
