Pikeville Mayor resigns amid allegations of misconduct and theft

PIKESVILLE, BLEDSOE CO., TN (WRCB ) - Pikeville's Mayor has resigned his position.

Greg Johnson was indicted last month, for official misconduct and theft over $60,000.

He's accused of using more than $170,000 that belonged to the city for personal use.

Johnson has entered a not guilty plea.

His next court date is September 26th authorities will decide if the case is ready to go to trial.
