Lisa Cleary arrested in Pennsylvania, awaiting extradition
ELLE VERNON, Pa. (AP) — A Tennessee woman is jailed awaiting extradition from southwestern Pennsylvania after federal marshals arrested her on charges she conspired with her boyfriend in a plot to murder her husband.
Lisa Michelle Cleary, 42, of Meigs County, Tenn., was arrested at a home in Rostraver Township on Tuesday morning.
The U.S. Marshals Service in Pittsburgh didn't say how they traced her to that residence, but said Cleary was wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for the alleged plot in October 2011.
They said an undercover TBI agent was offered $15,000 and a gun to kill her husband.
Federal officials did not immediately identify that man or Cleary's boyfriend, or say whether Cleary or either man has connections to southwestern Pennsylvania.
